3.11 IS OUR SHARED FUTURE
OPEN EYES, HEART, MIND

The Nuclear Regulation Authority of Japan has suggested to TEPCO
that they dump all of their contaminated water into the ocean.

Minus some cesium, all the plutonium, uranium, strontium, tritium,
hundreds of other isotopes, are headed for your ocean, your foodchain.

Some of the water is so contaminated that standing near it would kill
you in hours, measuring up to billions of bq/m3 of radiation.

After the Great Tohuko Earthquake of 2011 destabilized all the faults
and tectonic plates in Japan, Shinzo Abe's government is determined

to restart all the reactors in Japan, despite warnings from geologists.

A training camp for Olympic athletes is being situated in a heavily
contaminated area, formerly used by Fukushima nuclear workers.
The Olympic stadium will be situated in Tokyo, also contaminated.

TEPCO is cutting off compensation soon for all but a few of the evacuees,
on the grounds that their villages, where ambient radiation measures up to
20 milliSeiverts per year, are safe to live in, even for children. Over 100

thyroid cancer cases are confirmed among children, where there would
normally be less than one.

Health care for the victims of the Fukushima nuclear accident has been
negligible or
non-existent. The Cancer Registry law makes it a criminal
offence for any physician to share information on cancer cases with
anyone but the national government. The Secrets Protection Act will

make it a criminal offence to "investigate improperly" anything deemed
secret; yet no one will know what those things (radiation data?) are.

The threat of a meltdown in Spent Fuel Pool 4 has been averted, but the
central electrical control panel for the nuclear plant is still sitting on a flatbed
truck, out of doors. The cooling systems are fed by plastic hoses, radioactive
groundwater is rising everyday, and the use of untrained workers is leading to
fatal accidents. What happens if another major earthquake strikes now?

                          *                               *                               *

This year once again, we descend on the Consulates of Japan, everywhere
in the world, to demand justice for the kids, for the evacuees, for the ocean,
for the environment; for the human race. Our concerns are carefully
articulated in letters to be placed in the hands of Japan's Prime Minister
Shinzo Abe, that he might know the whole world is watching him and his
government, and is not deceived by his promise of safety.

If you want to direct an action yourself, please email us at
fukushimafourthanniversary@outlook.com  and I'll post your action here.
Include date, time, location, contact
info, links, an image if possible and
a description of what you're doing. Go here to download the protocol for
letters to be delivered to the Prime Minister, (not a big deal, but required
legally), and a sample letter with the proper addressing and talking points
for reference. Go here for reliable Fukushima information sources.

If you know of any action not covered here, by all means
let me know;
I'll post it at once and share it on the Facebook page supporting this site.
My thanks to Fukushima2015 for their generous help, they've lots more
events worldwide; for a really complete worldview, check them out too.

NOTE: I do not support repatriation of contaminated areas of Japan. I can't

say which organizations mentioned here support "restoration"; I can't vouch
for the perfect intentions of any events charging a fee or asking donations. I've
decided to include all that I can find to let you decide for yourself what's good.
Don't be afraid, go for it!

 Wherever you are...

We are posting all the reports, pictures, and letters we
can find from these events at our Facebook page!
